Today at 11 o'clock, at the Nishavsky Quay near the City Hall, a ceremonially opened monument, which the Catholic Church in Serbia donated to the ancient city of Nis.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary of the Apostolic Nunciature Mons. Janusz Błachowiak, Archbishop of the Belgrade Mons. Stanislav Hočevar, pastor of the Church of the Exaltation of St. Cross in Nis fra Niko Josić, representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church and mayor of Nis, g. Zoran Perisic, PhD, who is with gene. by the Vicar of the Archdiocese, Fr. Leopold Rochmes discovered the monument.
Before the opening, a short ceremony was held in the City Hall. There was an ecumenical male choir, and Mons wrote. Stanislav Hočevar. He brought out the words of gratitude, wonder and longing, calling upon the great responsibility that we all have before God and people.
